Dietetic and cooking techniques: meats and eggs

Before preparing meats, remove all the visible fat.

Favor roasted, cooked or grilled preparations.

Learn to appreciate the natural flavor of foods by reducing the amount of salt and/or sugar used in them. Enhance flavors by seasoning foods with fresh or dry herbs or fruit juices.

Use iodized salt. Remember that the maximum salt intake per day should not exceed 5 grams.
