Water in the prehistory of cooking

Five-hundred thousand years ago, when fire was discovered, man began cooking his food. However, it is not possible to know when man started using water for cooking. Cooking with boiling water probably started with the discovery of ceramics, but before this, water could have been used for macerating foods and making them more palatable. FLANDRIN, J-L, MONTANARI, M.
