Oils and fats are very high in energy content and can be found in animals and plants.

Use small amounts of vegetable oil when cooking.

Favor preparation methods that require little oil, such as roasting, cooking, stewing and grilling.

To prevent cardiovascular diseases:

use small amounts of oil when cooking;

use olive oil when adding oil to foods that are ready to eat;

avoid fried foods;

never reuse frying oil.
